Holly is the highest ever British gymnast in World Championships history, with her 14th place all around finish in Belgium in 2001. She was part of Team Britain for the 1999 World Championships and 2000 Olympic Games, and competed for Northern Ireland in the 1998 Commonwealth Games. She was the 1998 Junior British Champion, and senior runner up in 2001.

Since her successful elite career, Holly has been part of the national championship winning UCLA Bruins gymnastics team in the United States, where she received a full scholarship.
